If there was some formula by which to strategize your investments so they always land on the money, they'd all be doing that. It's kind of like tech VCs that invest in wild ideas knowing that 90% of them will fail and they'll lose their money. It's not that hard to create something that's moderately successful, but no one is interested in that - Disney isn't spending $200m to make $1m profit.
